Question by : What is required to travel into Canada either on Business or Leisure as far as Documents/ID etc?
What is required for a U.S. Citizen to travel into Canada as far as ID etc…When you reach the border? You need a passport I believe right ? What else? I am thinking of traveling there soon to meet a friend and need to know…
Also if anyone could help me, or point me in the direction of somewhere that can give me information on what it takes, and how long it takes to become a Canadian Citizen..
Thanks!

A valid passport is all you need to cross into Canada, and well your drivers license of course if you’re driving across the border!
Not sure how long it takes to become one of us, I’ve always been a Canadian so never had to figure it out sorry.

Question by chamtravel: Why would someone rather book travel online, then book with a qualified travel agent?
I have been a travel agent for 3 years and before I became an agent, I ALWAYS booked my leisure travel through an agent. I cross my eyes sometimes with some of the outragous questions I see on here. If people just picked up the phone and spoke to someone that knows the industry and what they were talking about they would be much better off. I’m not talking about transportation. Meaning if you are going from LA to NYC and staying with your aunt, purchasae your ticket online. But if you need a package or leisure vacation you’re robbing yourself of value. I don’t know of an agent that adds service fees unless it’s only airline tickets. Airlines don’t pay commission to agents so they must add on a service fee. But for packages we’re compensated once the client travels. We’re also educated by product seminars and have relationships with vendors that can add value. I just don’t understand why people rob themselves of service. The internet is a great resourse tool and so is a travel agent

You have a good question, you should be given 10 points for this.
I don’t know. They see the fares at their cheapest which are all before taxes. Or they’re in a hurry. But I agree with you on this. I always book with a travel agency for all my trips.

With nearly 300 wine labels now listing Napa Valley as their home, it’s tough to keep track of them all. But, for some 20-years, one of the wineries you could always count on was Far Niente. Producers of some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay in California and the world, Far Niente is a spectacular wine estate, housed in a restored 1800′s stone winery and featuring some of the most breathtaking landscaping you will find. We’ll highlight it all and even give you some food and wine pairing tips. Then, it’s off to Meadowood, one of Napa Valley’s finest resorts. From the accommodations, to the golfing, to the food and wine, Meadowood, is good at what it does, not to mention drop-dead gorgeous. Two of Napa Valley’s finest in one great show.

Question by : I’m looking for testers for a travel site. How can I find users?
Hey,
When travelling (business/leisure) it’s often interesting to see who you know at the destination. We’re building a site which does just that: you can find your Facebook friends and their friends by location.
The site is still closed, but I’m now looking for testers. Do you have any idea how I could find travel aficionados? Would you be interested in having a look?
Thanks much.

Sara, I’m a frequent flyer, but your question is slightly confusing in that, I have no idea what your really looking for.

Located in Southern Quebec and right across the river from Canada’s capitol of Ottawa, Outaouais has so much to offer. I’ll showcase the four star cuisine of Le Baccara, take a ride on an authentic steam train offering gourmet dining, and go inside a restored mill that features its own great food.

Catalonia’s capital city is over 2000 years old with a wealth of history.

Question by flight777: Why is Philadelphia rated as one of the dirtiest cities in America?
I was reading a recent article from Travel & Leisure that said visitors to Philadelphia rate it as being the second dirtiest city in the country after New Orleans, but they didn’t exactly say why. Is this because there’s alot of trash lying around? Does anyone know why it’s so bad? Never been to Philly and am curious. Thanks.

I live like a hour from Philly and some parts can be pretty dirty. There are deffinatly some nicer parts that are clean. (historic section) but when you get to the outside of the city it deffinatly isn’t clean. North and south philly are the worst. There is trash lying everywhere and other than that it is just plain dirty. Pretty much everything is old and rusted. It’s proboley because Philly is pretty poor in genral (not trying to offend anyone) so no one really has the money to fix there houses up. Most cities are fairly dirty but Philly is just really bad.
